A Christmas Celebration! | Bolivia Update

Over the recent holiday, the children in Bolivia were able to celebrate Christmas. For these precious children, the Christmas season was as much about being surrounded by those who love them as it was unwrapping the gifts under the tree. We pray these kids learn more about God this year, and that they know the love and care of people around the world who hold them up in prayer. Join the Lifesong Prayer Team to receive a monthly prayer email. We invite you to share a word of encouragement to our staff in Bolivia. To do so, comment below or on our Facebook wall and it will be forwarded to our staff. Thank you in advance for your kind words of support! Learn more about Bolivia

Reuniting Paolo with Family

Enjoy this update from Fundación Esperanza in Bolivia… “The very first baby to enter our care at Fundación Esperanza was a little boy named Paolo. When he was just a few days old, Paolo was abandoned at the hospital. Our social worker was able to find his mother and began a series of interviews with her and the extended family.  At the time of Paolo’s birth, his mother and father were separated and out of desperation his mother felt like she had no choice but to leave him at the hospital. After some time passed, Paolo’s mother and father reunited and began the process of regaining guardianship. They both underwent psychological therapy as well as parenting classes in hopes to have Paolo come home into their care.  Upon completion, the judge ruled in favor of Paolo’s reunification with his parents. We continued following up with Paolo and his parents and were … Continue reading

Welcoming More Children to Fundación Esperanza

BOLIVIA UPDATE: Opening Our Doors to More Children Enjoy this update from Fundación Esperanza in Bolivia… “2015 is off to a great start for Fundación Esperanza (FE) in Bolivia. The transition program exists to help young adults aging out of the orphanage environment to adapt to independent living while pursuing higher education or vocation. The program also exists to model and encourage responsibility based on faith in God as a firm foundation of life. Our goal is to create a secure environment where participants can study, learn life skills and … Continue reading

New Orphan Care Initiative! // Lifesong Bolivia: Fundación Esperanza

Bolivia Background The South American country of Bolivia is home to more than 13,000 orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children who live without hope every day.  Of these 13,000 children, an estimated 5,000 live within the city of Cochabamba. While a small number of adoptions do occur each year, the vast majority of these children grow up either on the streets or in orphanages and institutions, completely unaware of what it is to be loved or told they are a precious creation of God.  While the future may currently be bleak for some, Fundación Esperanza (Hope Foundation), a ministry of Lifesong for Orphans, is committed to changing the trajectory of orphaned and vulnerable children in Bolivia. Learn more about the mission of Lifesong Bolivia>> Meet the Missionaries… Our family felt the call to serve in international missions in 2008, although we didn’t know how or where.  With all of the things we … Continue reading
